Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)
The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of
China’s Hubei province, and has since spread globally, resulting in the ongoing 2019–20
coronavirus pandemic. Million cases have been reported across 187
countries and territories.
Coronavirus Symptoms
Common symptoms
- fever
- cough
- fatigue
- shortness of breath,
- and loss of smell and taste
The exposure time to see symptoms is typically around five days but may range from two to fourteen days.
How does the coronavirus disease spread?
The disease can spread between people during close contact from person to person
through small droplets from the nose or mouth which are spread when a person with
COVID-19 produced by coughing, sneezing, or talking. The droplets usually fall to the
ground or onto surfaces. Other become infected by touching touching these surfaces,
then touching their eyes, nose or mouth. It is important to stay more than 3 feet away
from a person who is sick.
